Problem
Creating a layout is difficult for people who have never dealt with it before. A quick flyer, a poster, something else. To avoid thinking about image and text elements, an app like Ausgelegt! would be helpful. Ausgelegt is an app idea that helps create simple layouts in an organised way.
My Role
The project is part of a university course, one third of the final submission, and came out of working in a two-person group. 4 weeks. Roles were kept broad. We both touched on everything. I was however more responsible for the branding and the design of the elements, and less involved in user flow and logic.
The goal of the course was to work with UI libraries. Based on familiarity, taste and aesthetic we chose the iOS 18 UI Kit.
Concept
Ausgelegt! Select the number and type of elements and generate a layout in just a few clicks. Automatic arrangement until the layout matches your vision, popular and reused layouts can be saved. That is what Ausgelegt! is meant to do. Square elements, solid colours and drop shadows, inspired by the edges of paper.
